Hi @Ben123465,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Spectre x360 might be experiencing some sort of hardware or firmware issue. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Perform a Hard Reset: Sometimes, a hard reset can resolve these kinds of issues. To perform a hard reset, unplug the laptop from any power source, including the charger, and then press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds. After that, release the power button and try turning the laptop on again.
  • Check Power Adapter and Battery: Make sure your power adapter is functioning properly by trying a different power outlet or using a different adapter if available. If possible, also try removing the laptop's battery and then connecting the power adapter to see if it powers on without the battery. This can help determine if there's an issue with the battery.
  • Inspect for Physical Damage: Check the laptop for any signs of physical damage, especially around the power button and charging port. Damage in these areas could cause the symptoms you're experiencing.
  • Update Firmware/BIOS: If you're able to access the BIOS (usually by pressing a specific key during startup, such as F10 or ESC), check if there are any firmware updates available. Updating the BIOS could potentially resolve the issue if it's related to a firmware bug.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
