I would like to know if it is still possible to upgrade this Pavilion dv6 laptop from Vista to Win 7.
I still have the HP upgrade "kit" that HP sent with the computer.
That is the upgrade manager and the Win 7 Upgrade Media.
I just never got around to doing it. My Bad.
Computer is still in great working order, would like to keep as backup if possible. Never had any problems with this particular machine.
I am rookie at computers, so any advice /help would be appreciated.
Thanks
JB

From "Add/Remove Programs" in "Control Panel", uninstall the Net Framework 4.5 software.
Then, reboot, and run Windows Update. This should offer to install Net Framework 4.6 (or above).

Upgrade from Vista to Win 7 went fairly well until the computer booted into Win 7.
This is when I got the following message on the Win 7 desktop.
I have absolutely no idea what to do at this point.
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
John
The Computer has been running for several hours since this popped up, with no apparent resolution.
