Hi @DIPTI3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP laptop might be experiencing memory issues, which can cause browsing tools, PDF viewers, and other applications to crash. Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve this issue.

1. Close Unnecessary Programs:

  • Make sure you don't have too many programs running simultaneously, especially resource-intensive ones.
  • Close any browser tabs you're not using, as they consume memory.

2. Restart Your Laptop:

  • Sometimes a simple restart can free up memory and resolve temporary issues.

3. Clear Browser Cache:

  • If the issue is primarily with browsing, clear your browser cache and cookies. This can often help with memory-related browsing problems.

4. Update Software:

  • Ensure your operating system, browsers, and any other software are up to date. Updates often include performance and stability improvements.

5. Check for Malware:

  • Run a full antivirus scan to check for malware or viruses that could be using up memory.

6. Adjust Virtual Memory (Windows):

  • On Windows, you can adjust your virtual memory settings:
    • Search for "Advanced system settings" in the Start menu and open it.
    • Under the "Advanced" tab, click on "Settings" under the "Performance" section.
    • In the Performance Options window, go to the "Advanced" tab and click on "Change" under Virtual memory.
    • Uncheck "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives" and then select "Custom size."
    • Set the Initial size and Maximum size to a value recommended for your system (or let Windows manage it if you're unsure).

7. Hardware Check:

  • If the problem persists, it's worth checking if there's a hardware issue, like faulty RAM. You can use built-in Windows tools to check your RAM for errors.

8. Reinstall Applications:

  • If specific applications like your PDF viewer keep crashing, try uninstalling and reinstalling them.

9. Use Lightweight Alternatives:

  • Consider using lightweight alternatives to resource-heavy programs. For example, a lightweight PDF reader like SumatraPDF might consume less memory than Adobe Acrobat.

Additional Steps for YouTube:

If YouTube specifically is not opening or playing videos:

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies, as mentioned earlier.
  • Try using a different browser to see if the issue is browser-specific.
  • If using a VPN, try disconnecting to see if that resolves the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
