have a hp15r given to me by my sister...when i power it on it shows date and time..hit enter and I get blue screen showing her name and wanting password...i have tried numerous passwords she has given me and none work.....no disc for backup available. no hint ever input to recover password......HELP !!!!!!!

Hi:
I wouldn't be able to help you get into windows.
You are probably going to have to purchase a set of recovery media and reset the PC to its out of the box condition.
You can try tapping the ESC key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, select the F11 recovery option and see if you can factory reset the PC that way.
Sometimes you need the Windows password for that too though.
However, booting from the recovery media you purchase should work without the need of a password.

okay....did not realize that- ! Is there any chance you can help me solve "that" problem? 🙂
i cant even tell which version of windows this is..not windows 7 but thats all i can tell-no stickers, nothing on bottom of comp to tell
