Product: HP Probook 430 G1
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My HP Probook was fine until my bf grabbed it by the screen one day and the black color turned to red pixels while the white color turned to cyan horizontal, gritty lines on the screen. I took it to a computer repair shop, but I do not trust their ability to diagnose my laptop. Their suggestion was that I replace the screen. My laptop is not overheating and has no other issues other than this display issue. I would greatly appreciate it if someone can give me a repair procedure or even tell me what is really wrong. There are no cracks or dents in the screen as far as I can see.
