EliteBook 745 G3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have an HP EliteBook 745 G3 with Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit. I have a Viewsonic VP2770-LED monitor. I have my personal PC and the ELiteBook attached to a VellBox 2 port DispalyPort KVM switch. When the EliteBook is booted with it selected on the KVM it boots and works fine.

However, if I subsequently switch the monitor to my home PC and then switch back to the EliteBook, the USB keyboard and mouse swithc OK but the monitor does not. If I use Fn F4 to switch to an external monitor it does not work. If I restart the ELiteBook it does not detect the external monitor and Fn F4 will not switch  either. If I power the EliteBook off and then back on again, every time it detects the external monitor and switches to that.

I have also tried this with a StarTech 2 port USB DisplayPort KVM switch and I have the same issue. Whenever I switch to my desktop PC it works everytime, so the issue lies either in the doscking station or the EliteBook

I have have updated the HP Ultraslim Docking Station DisplayPort firmware, the AMD Graphics Driver and the ViewSonic driver to the latest versions but I still have the same issue.

Has anyone else seen this issue or doies anyone know of a solution?

Keith.
