HP Recommended
Product: Chromebook 14 G3
Operating System: Chrome OS

On boot up, Chromebook screen will stay black but will light up and flicker. AHave tried replaceing the screen and LCD cable to the same result. 

It cannot connect to to an external monitor either, from what i've witness so far, I believe this is a motherboard issue, but i'd like to see if anyone else has any ideas before I take that pricy plunge.
