I recently purchased a HP Omen, and at first it appeared to be running games well, getting 100-120fps. However I discovered the games were running off the Intel HD 530 shared graphics card.
When I set it to run from the dedicated NVidia GeForce GTX 950M graphics card, performance did not drop or improve, however the fps is limiting itself at 30fps. The screen has a refresh rate of 60fps, no matter what I do I cannot get my games to limit at 60fps.
UPDATE: Upon going into fullscreen mode, no joke, the limit seemed to be removed and my fps sored into the 300-400 range, far higher than I would ever need.
