HP Recommended

Hi everyone, I'm trying to make a slightly older laptop (HP Pavilion Notebook 15-n218au) operational and am having trouble getting the cursor to move smoothly. It pauses/freezes for a split second, every second or two. I have completed all updates (especially taking note of the graphics driver and keyboard/mouse/Input. I've tried an external mouse rather than touch pad, and nothing's fixing the issue.

I also tried opening the device manager to rollback display adapter drivers—there are two of them (???) AMD Radeon HD 8330 and AMD Radeon HD 8600M Series), but the option isn't available.
I also ran the installed HP Support Assistant and ran the one update available (unrelated to the aforementioned drivers).
Any suggestions?
