I'm thinking of buying an external monitor however I don't know what the maximum display output would be for my specfic laptop?

From the Service manual:

HDMI version 1.4 output supporting 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz Hot Plug / Unplug and auto detect for correct output to wide-aspect versus standard aspect video

There you have it. It might support a 4K monitor but it appears you are likely limited to FHD resolution.

Ah okay I'll stick with 1080p. Could I have the link to the service manual please? Thank you 🙂
