HP Laptop - 17-by3065st
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello////  One of the screws on the bottom near the optical drive of my 17-by-3065st has fallen out. Can someone advise me on how to obtain a replacement? Also, what size is needed as I've seen a few different sizes online. Thanks in advance.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

HP 17 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

Chapter 6, page 37, has the dimensions of the screws that secure the bottom cover.

Looks like you need a Phillips M2.5×6.0 screw.

That would be a metric screw 2.5mm in diameter x 6.0mm long.

Where you can find one of those, I would have no idea.

Check Ace Hardware or your local PC repair shop.

Chapter 3, page 25 of the service manual lists a screw kit part number (L22579-001), but HP does not sell the kit.
