Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Recently got a laptop upgrade from my company to an HP EliteBook 840. My office setup includes a slim dock with dual monitors. I noticed that switching between screens, one of them does not load the window of the programs I have open completely.

The failure to load the full window is independent of what type of program I'm using. It happens with photo viewers, email, file explorer, etc. At first I thought it had something to do with the type of cable being used for the screen that was having issues, however, at the moment I'm using my laptop screen with an external monitor connected to the DisplayPort, using the external monitor as primary screen and laptop screen as secondary, and I'm having the same issue with loading screens on my laptop screen. It seems the loading issue is not the hardware but the software, since the problem is happening on whatever I set up to be my secondary screen.

When the display windows do not load properly, dragging them from the title bar and maximizing them fixes the problem, as this seems to trigger a full refresh of the display.

Looking through the forum, a similar thread suggested updating the video drivers, which I already did and did not fix the issue. Alhough this is a minor issue, it is affecting my working speed so I would really appreaciate it if you provide a solution.

I hope this post is clear enough and provides the information necessary to diagnose the issue successfully. I'm not an IT professional so I don't know the proper language to describe the issue. If you require additional information, screenshots, etc, don't hesitate to ask.
