Last week (10.02.2017) HP Support Assistant offered a new update entitled "AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver_KB" as Softpaq Number SP78743, Version 21.19.137.514Bp3, Size 410.13MB.  It fails to install with no message or indication of why.

I've search for any reference to SP78743 (Google & HP website) and found nothing.  I've also serch the AMD website for reference to this driver and also found nothing.

Does anyone know anything about this or should I just trash it from HP Support Assistant?

Your driver is older.

If it will not install it is likely your video driver was already updated to the same version by Windows Update. The driver version number corresponds to a driver issued by AMD in December.

Thanks.  I'm not sure how I can tell if that version has been installed as I can't find anything on my laptop that shows a version number of 21.19.137.514Bp3.

Is there a way I can check?

Go into device manager and find display adapter and right click on the video and select properties/driver/details

Huffer, Thanks for your response.

I had already looked there, but nothing seems to match...

Yes, I did notice that.  Both of these are at "the current version", so  I guess that my Display Adapters too old.

In which case, I think the only thing I can do is to trash the update from HP Support Assistant (just don't really know why it even bothered to offer it if my graphics card is too old to be updated).
