HP Spectre x360

I have an 11 month old HP Spectre-x360 13-4193nr that it is still under warranty. I went to use it today, and the screen was cracked in numerous places. I have seen people on a number of various forums post the exact same issue. This laptop has never been dropped or even touched roughly. The device has no scratches or abrasions, and the lack of trauma and drops is obvious due to this, as well as due to the crack pattern--it is diffuse, and does not originate at one location as does a crack made by a drop. HP asked that I pay them $350-500 to fix the screen. In an effort to  I talked with numerous service reps, sent pictures, all to no avail. I own two HP computers, but I will never buy another again. I will also encourage my friends not to do so.
