Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would likle to use the HDMI port to connect a DVI LCD monitor.  I have a conversion cable from HDMI to DVI.  When I attempt to hook up the monitor it will not detect.  What do I need to do to get this working?
