HP Pavilion TS 15 Notebook PC

Hello,  I was wondering if it is possible to get bluetooth for my laptop as when I go to the device options on Windows 10 it gives me the option of adding a new device. HOWEVER it doesn't give me an option to turn Bluetooth on. So I have checked and clicked every link possible that has come up on the options but nothing useful has come up.

I am guessing it is a outdated hardware issue.

Please help.

Thank you.

You're very welcome.

Below is the link to the product specs page for your PC.

https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c03960048

It does not come with built in bluetooth networking hardware, or that specification would have been listed along with the 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity specification.

You have two options...purchase an external USB bluetooth adapter.

Replace the internal wifi adapter with one that is a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter.

The second option would require you letting me know some additional information which would require taking the notebook apart to see how many antenna cables are connected to the wifi card in there now.

Below is the link to the service manual.   The wifi card R & R procedures can be found in chapter 5.

Basically, all you would have to do right now would be to unplug the PC, remove the battery and service door to see the number of antenna cables connected to the wifi card.

If the card has two antennas connected to it, not only can you upgrade to bluetooth, but you can upgrade to wireless AC speed.

Hi:

What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?

The product number can be found on the same label as the serial number.

Please do not post the serial number.

I will purchase an adaptor.

You have been very helpful.

I had a feeling this might have been the case but I needed conformation from an expert.

Thank you again!! 🙂
