HP Envy 15 notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My bluetooth mouse HP Z5000 suddenly stopped working & the blueooth settings started to flicker non-stop on my HP Envy 15 notebook - W10 64 bit. I have with difficulties tried all attemps to fix the issue by: using the troubleshooting tool, uninstalling/reinstalling the intel wireless bluetooth driver & even restoration the system to an earlier date but no success except the flickering stopped temporarily. It get starts up again while working on the issue.

The issue now became: 1) the bluetooth settings is missing, 2) the intel wirless driver is having a problem & therefore will not install back &/or be fixed, 3) the intel bluetooth driveer showing a status of quote: "the device cannot start (code10)   STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE" unquote. The uninstalling/reinstalling & disablling of UBS universal devices didn't also help here. I get the same outcome/resolts as detailed above.

Please can any one help?

Thank you for the reply & suggestions.

Actually, the issue I have had was with the software driver rather than the mouse device. Further, I have had done all suggested steps but, at the time of encountering the problem, none of each resolved the issue.

Anyhow, I have managed by the next day to find the main cause for the problem. Surprisngly it was the operating system (Windows 10) preventing the installation of updates for the bluetooth driver.  As soon as I got that fixed, the settings screen stopped flickering, and the settings for bluetooth is no longer being disappeared - or not shown within settings. So, I can say that my bluetooth device is working normally now but though, I thank you for taking the time to help.
