HP ENVY x360 - m6-ar004dx

Ok so I purchased my 2nd HP Envy Laptop and received it in the mail today, unboxed it and was attempting to set it up.  My 1st HP Envy Laptop works great and is what I'm typing this one on.  So my experience thus far has been ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE.  I have spent all day on it and am no closer to getting it running.

So upon powering it up and going through the initial configuration, I noticed the Wireless was not working.  It is not recognizing any Nearby Networks, it has a red x on it in the bottom right corner tray, and if I go to Settings -> Network -> Connect to a Network/Internet it gives me an error message that says "No Hardware detected".

So I came here to HP Chat for support, spoke to a person for I don't know how long maybe an hour.  They had me reinstall drivers etc., nothing worked.  We got to the point where they have me 2 options....either they wanted to walk through ME grabbing a screwdriver and taking apart my laptop to reseating my wireless card or to do a total windows operating system restore.  I opted for what is the less invasive (and was surprised they would suggest I take a screwdriver to my brand new laptop) and decided to do the System Restore and reinstallation of the Operating System.  So it has been installing for HOURS and HOURS, and I have noticed it is now stuck on 64%, has been so for over an hour.  Through my google searching I have seen this is a known issue for HP Laptop Restores.  I saw a solution about creating a DVD and all that, I don't have any DVDs and am not going to drive to the store to buy DVDs to come home to try to put something on it to put in my other laptop to see if I can fix the failing Operating System install to see if I can get Windows installed to see if I can get my original problem of wireless connectivity solved.  I HAVE SPENT ALL DAY ON THIS and am farther from my goal than when I started.  Why am I spending THOUSANDS of dollars on all these products that don't work and suck, is it too much to ask that when I buy a new laptop it works?  I am beyond frustrated I think you can tell.

At this point I probably either have to send it physically to tech support or just say the heck with it (not the 4 letter word I'd use) and return it and buy a laptop from another brand.  Any help?  Can someone assist me to solve this series of problems?  It appears both the 64% stuck on reinstall and the windows connectivity issue are BOTH known issues for HP's, somebody somewhere should know how to solve these problems.
