Got the wireless network going for a friends Compaq 584037-001 using this link http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5375... but graphic drivers don't work. He uses windows 7 64 bit, but that link is for windows 8.1, but as i said wireless network is ok now. But he can't use opengl for a game, where is the correct drivers for this computers graphic card?

Do you know the specs for the processor and graphics in that model?

 

I can't find any on the support page.

Thanks, I will try that one. Do you know the correct driver for the wireless lan for this computer? I am not sure if the file i used for windows 8.1 is the best to use.

What model wireless card does the notebook have?

 

If the driver is installed, it will be listed under the Network Adapters category,

 

If it needs a driver it will be labeled in the device manager as a Network Controller.

 

If it is listed as a network controller, I would need the hardware ID from it as follows...

 

Go to the device manager and click on the Network Controller needing drivers.

 

Then click on the Details tab at the top of the network controller window.

 

Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.

 

Drop down on that list and select the second item (Hardware ID's).

 

Post the top string of characters you see in the window that start with PCI\VEN:
