Pavilion 17 f200 | HP 3005pr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I've got a problem with our laptop or/and docking station. The external screen is blurry. I don't know how to get it sharp.

I already tried some things (installed software again for the dockingstation and tried to update Display
Link software). It looks like the software is not compatible with Windows 10.

With windows 7 the screen was sharp.

Can someone help me with this issue?

This are the specs:

HP Pavilion 17-f200

HP Docktingstation 3005pr

Thanks!

Assuming you're using Intel, go to Graphics Properties. (Right Click Desktop)

Secondly, go to display settings.

Next, select your external monitor from the "Select Display", dropdown menu.

Then, go to "Refresh Rate", at the bottom. If you know your monitors refresh rate, then put the right one in. If you don't play around until you find it.

Last but not least. change the resolution on the external monitor to the highest possible settings, because your PC may only be able to put out a certain resolution.

Thanks for your quick reply. I didn't have the time to test it before the weekend. After the weekend my collegue (was his problem the blurry screen) had fixed the (strange) problem. He said he connected the cables again and tried some settings on external screen and it worked again.

Thanks again for your reply.

I don't know why but the problem is back. I've looked into it again and I think it's overscaling by monitor / videocard.

This laptop had Intel graphics and nvidia graphics and I can't get this right with the settings. I'll contact the hp helpdesk today to see if we can find a solution.
