HP Stream Notebook - 13-c000nl
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

As the subject says.... it's possible to install (maybe with a dual boot) a win xp on this notebook? I have a software that works ONLY under xp, and I don't know if it's possible.....

Please help me!!!

Lupici

P.S. I tried with a virtual machine under win 8.1, but there is an hardware (a kind of cam, for dermatological purpose) related to the sw, that works very bad on the virtual version of XP.....

Hi:

it is impossible.

There are no drive controller, or graphics drivers for XP for the processor and chipset in that model.

There are probably also many other non-existent drivers too, but you won't even get it to install to find out.

And Win 7??? maybe the virtual machine will work better under win 7? It's possible to add win 7??

I think it is possible.

You may be able to use W7 x64 drivers from other HP notebooks.

You would need to install W7 Professional so you can download Windows XP Mode from Microsoft.
