Dell
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I recently installed LR v12.5 on my windows 10 machine and was trying to access http://127.0.0.1:1080/WebTours/ through MicroSoft Edge Browser. When i try to enter User ID : jojo and pwd: bean and hit sign, it again takes me back to the login screen.

Same URL can be accessed sucessfully using Chrome browser.

Any help on how to fix this?

Tempting to think this is related to your HP computer -- but you have indicated that you have a Dell.  Smiling.

There might be help for this from the Microsoft community -- Edge is particularly fussy about certain things and there may be others that have had a similar issue.

I can add / offer the following:

Using the HP Web Tours Sample Application

Excerpted:

  • Add localhost to the Exception Site List.

    1. On the LoadRunner machine, open the computer's Control Panel.
    2. Search for Java, and double-click Java (32-bit) or Java 64-bit. The Java Control Panel opens.
    3. Click the Security tab and click Edit Site List. Click Add and enter http://127.0.0.1:1080. Click Continue to approve the address. Approve any warnings.
    4. Repeat the above step and enter http://localhost:1080.

Now, just before that section, the setup suggestions do indicate that you should be using Internet Explorer (V10 or higher).  This does not mean that your setup won't work with Edge, it may indicate that Edge is not supported OR it might just mean that Edge was not around when the instructions were written.

The rest of the setup is likely similar to loading this software onto an HP system; you may have to make minor changes to some paths, etc.

Good Luck.

Hello Dragon-Fur,

Thanks for the reply.

I figured out that my antivirus is blocking accessing the site on Edge. I had s/w addin added to the browser and when i disable it, i was able to access the web tour on Edge browser as well.

Thanks for your time and reply.

Hope you have great time ahead.

Thanks for the information -- Edge is apparently doing a good job keeping you "safe".  Smiling.
