I started to download the BIOS driver and my computer froze.

I had to do a hard shut down, and now my screen is shot ( I can only see when using a flashlight) and after system restore I can get to the log in screen and use the cursor, but I cant type in any password.

Any ideas?

Thanks

would there be a variable you could change to get the message to show up not as much? say... once an hour?

Never change your BIOS or make any SYSTEM configuration changes with a file distributed by some stray source on the internet. That is a good way to start some serious problems, not only for you but anyone, you connect with.

I just removed and replaced the battery and got the same message. I will attempt to adjust the power settings.

You know what this reminds me of? Adware. Thanks HP.
