Hi:
I'm tried to boot from USB memory stick to install a fresh version of Windows 7. When I press F9 I have only two boot options:
- Notebook Hard Drive
- Notebook Ethernet
The USB boot option don't appear.
My BIOS Version is: M71 Ver. 01.04 (02/24/2015)
Note: I had tested my installation USB memory stick in other Notebook and it work fine.
Thank for your support.

I understood that from the post you made.
I suggested RUFUS and EFI windows installer creation because of the boot issue you are having with the Elitebook 840.
It just may be what you need for that particular notebook.
If you want this to work, then you will have to be flexible and willing to troubleshoot issues.

How did you create the windows usb installer?
Is the usb flashdrive plugged into a port prior to pressig the power button and then the F9 key?

Well, you were right.
I used Rufus with the option 'Partition scheme and target system type' in 'MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI' to create a new installation USB. After that, I changed the BIOS configuration, in Advanced/Boot Options/Boot Mode, I changed the default option for UEFI Hybrid (with CSM) and put in UEFI Boot Order 'USB Hard Drive' as first option. After restarting I finally got the message 'pess any key to boot fron USB'.
Thanks a lot.

It is good to hear that it took care of the issue.
