Please post rather than send me a Message. It's good for the community and I might not be able to get back quickly. - Thank you.

Hi henk5066,
Have you tried downloading the audio driver from Realtek's website?
Scroll to the very bottom and download the ALC888s driver.
Yes, I'm an HP Employee but what I write and post is my own opinion and not any official statement or advice from HP.

install that first, if you still need audio then go to
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/
and get the one for ALC888S

Well that was no help for you! Sorry about that.
The audio spec for computer is described as "8 channel high-definition audio".
- Try going to Realtek's download page here - http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/
- Then click on "High Definition Audio Codecs (Software)"
- Check off the "I accept the above" box and click "Next" to get to the downloads page.
- Then try clicking on one of the download links for "64bits Vista, Windows7 Driver only (Executable file)".
(IttookafewsecondsbutitDIDstarttodownloadformeafter15to20seconds.) - Once you get it downloaded, install it and see if that gives you the drivers you need.
I hope that gets your audio issue resolved.
Let me know!
