Runtime Error R6034

Hey, everyone, I need some help.

I purchased my Compaq Presario PC back in December and recently within the past month or so it has recovered from several unexpected shutdowns. When I returned home yesterday my computer once again recovered from an unexpected shutdown, however, it now came with the following runtime error when I booted my computer:

R6034

An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library

incorrectly.

Please contact the application's support team for more information.

After clicking okay Windows then checks for a solution to the problem to which it always responds:

***

HPTCS has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

 ***

I Googled the HP TCS and the runtime error, the only solution MS can give me is to contact the application's support team (which the online chat is not working), embed a Manifest into the C++ Application, or install Visual Studios 2008 SP1 so that I can then install a hotfix they have for this problem.  As I didn't create/install the application myself (it came with the computer) the latter two options I'm not comfortable with.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Your help is greatly appreciated.  I've looked everywhere I know to look and I can't find how to fix it...

First, turn your UAC off (restart your computer).  After you've restarted uninstall the HPTCS Setup.  If you not asked to restart you computer, do it anyway.  That will reset some of your problems.  You can goto:

 to reinstall everything.

hptcs is hp easy internet setup. get rid of it, in the startup programs folders.  that fixed mine after a week of messing around with it
