CASLExec stopped working

I keep getting a message that says CASLExec has stopped working.  When I search the web regarding this message it says that this is CASLExec.exe is something from HP.  I can't find it anywhere in my computer.  Does anyone have insight on correcting this issue?

It is part of the HP support assistant, try using the HP Update to see if there is a new version of support assisitant available, if there is install it.

 

The file "CASLExec.exe" should be located here

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Support Framework\Warranty

I have the same problem. The CASLExec is in the folder you mentioned, but I can't find an update for the Support Assistant. I understand that it is not serious, but it is very annoying. Can HP provide any support?

You can always get the latest version using this page, about half way down the page, be sure to pick your hardware correctly, Notebook, Desktop etc.

Type Programs and features in start search and press enter .

 

That will open the programs and features window.

 

find HP support assistant from the list and uninstall it .

 

 

Then re install the HP support assistant from the following weblink that will fix the issue .

The link worked. I just downloaded the latest version and let it over ride the previous version and wala, no more caslexec.exe problem :smileyhappy: Thanks for the link :smileyhappy:
