Windows Vista format

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. I went to format and do a clean install of the OS, however when it is formatting, it freezes up on 2%. Tried to access recovery partition with no success, along with accessing safe mode. CD's that i am trying to install from are flawless (no scratches) any ideas or suggestions as to what to do from here?

Thanks.

Hi,

Download the application on the link below and use it to create a bootable disk.

http://software.lsoft.net/KillDiskSuiteFree-Setup.exe

Insert the disk in to your PC. Shut the PC down, then start it again to boot from the disk and follow the on screen instructions for Kill Disk.

Use this to wipe the whole of the Hard Drive including any partitions ( this may take a couple of hours! ).  When the process is complete, remove the disk, insert the your first Recovery Disk and reboot your PC to start installing your OS.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Re: Windows Vista format

Hi,

Download ImgBurn on the link below and use this to write the ISO file to a CD.

Re: Windows Vista format

Hi again,

Go to the Kill Disk application you have installed in All Programs, open the main folder, then select Bootable Disk creators and from that select Bootable DOS CD Creator which will burn the ISO.

Sorry I wasn't clearer on this.

Best wishes,

Re: Windows Vista format

Thanks for the help, i got it figured out. Apparently i just must not have waited long enough for the format from the boot disks. I let it go for a while this morning, and it is moving on through the process.. Thanks again.
