error code 646

I have a Compaq Presario CQ60-206US Notebook PC.  Got a recent notice about a required windows update for MSworks 9 (kb2680317) for Vista users yet when I click OK for the update, it fails and gives me an error code of 646.  I've also unchecked the file to indicate I don't want the update but next time I boot up, it's there again.  I tried researching MS Windows error code logs and got no where.  Help?

Use the Microsoft Fixit button on this page, then try the update again.
