Re: function keys

The Function (Fn) keys are used for various things such as changing displays, turning the keyboard backlight off/on, enabling numlock etc.

What model do you have so that I can be more specific?

Re: function keys

You can use this manual to identify each function key combination.

What combination of keys do use to turn on the keyboard backlight? I know it's the Function Key + ?.

I just had to restore my laptop to factory and now I can't remember.

Thanks, Blaine

Re: function keys

OK Kept pressing keys and found it was the Function key and the Space Bar, Ta Da. Thanks anyway.

Re: function keys

My dv7 function keys always act as if the fn key is simultaneously pressed, even when it is not being pressed. I need to use normal function keys WITHOUT the fn key pressed in my work. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?
