Windows 7 64bit driver for HP 1280 deskjet

Grrrrrrr SOOOOOOOOOOO frustrated!!!!

FInally find something in the forum to connect my 1280 and it won't load (albeit by a hp employee but not on behalf of hp)!  Has it been removed?

So fed up of restarting my laptop & printer and adding and removing.  Updating Windows etc etc etc - spent £100 on hp  printer ink and can't get my A3 1280 printer to work with my all singing all dancing laptop!!!!

Printer still works on my old dog of a PC but what use is that when I've retired the old dog!  

Have spent sooooo many hours trying to resolve, and finally think I'm getting somewhere and stalls!!!  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

When my printer is NOT listed!!!!

Hello uniquelyME,

I just noticed that it wasn't available, even when I checked via Windows Update. I would suggest that you install an alternate driver. The Deskjet 1220c or the Deskjet 9800 shoudl both work and both of these are A3 printers.

Work from home alot and could've used my printer this last week but been too busy to `get frustrated with it' again so will be giving it a go shortly!

THAT'S IT!!!  I GIVE UP!!!!

All the hours have spent trying to get it working.....

I give up!  Time to spend an hour or two looking for an A3 printer by another manufacturer!!!  Sorry hp, my last computer was an hp - thought your 1280 was `da bomb' but when it won't work after goodness knows how many hours & wasting £100 on ink.

 I got installed the Deskjet 1280 driver into my new laptop (OS - Window 7 - 64bit). Maybe u can try the step as below:-

 1) Go to "Control Panel".

 2) Go to "View Devices &  Printers".

 3) Go to "Add a Printer"

 4) Go to "Add a local printer"

 5) Click "HP" on Manufacturer item.

 6) Choose "HP Deskjet 1200C" 

 7) Click "Next"

 8) Choose "Use the driver that is currently installed".

 9) Then follow steps on the screen.

right installed my hp deskjet 1280 onto windows 7 ages ago laptop needed repair lost everything now when i am installing deskjet 1200c as i did last time its installing but it wont print then its telling me to troubleshoot so doing this and it says no problems found!!!! annoying isnt the word someone help
