HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2515 - Scan Button does not work.

Hello Everyone :smileyvery-happy:

I am using HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2515 for a week. I had a problem on scanning and I do anything searching how to fix it but I can't see the solution so I decided to pos t here.

When I click scan button on printer's control panel but the scanner does not functioning anymore, the power button blinking but the scanner doesn't move and meanwhile I observe the power button slowly blink that you can barely see (unless you look carefully) . I tried to use HP Print and Scan Doctor and test scan and it work properly and other kinds of Scan Testing it works well. The only problem is the Scan button in printer's Control Panel.

What do you think should I do? Any suggestion Guys? :smileyvery-happy:
By the way I'm running Windows 8.1 64-bit

Thanks Everyone!!!
God Bless :smileyvery-happy:

Re: HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2515 - Scan Button does not work.

Hello,

Please call HP Tech Support for further assistance as it seems to be a hardware issue with the scan button.

If you are in US , the toll free # is 1-800-474-6836 .

If you are not in US , then log on to www.hp.com , at bottom-left corner there is a world map icon, click on it and then select the region you belong to, which would then provide support options for you for that region.

Thanks for your response jabzi :smileyvery-happy:
But I think it was not a hardware issue with the scan button because I use it very smoothly in a past few days. This problem occur only yesterday until now. :smileyhappy:

Hello,

You may un-install the printer software.

Restart the PC.

Download and run the HP Printer Install Wizard from www.hp.com/go/tools
