My HP P2015d printer linked to my new 64bit Windows7 PC prints random pages containing "GET /DevMgmt/DiscoveryTree.xml HTTP/1.1
Host: 127.0.0.1:8080"  How do I stop this?

You will get this type of page out if you are using the Univerisal Print Driver 5.4 however if you are able, I would suggest you switch the to full solution driver to solve you issue. If you prefer the Univerisal Print Driver, then you should upgrade to the new version when it is published.

This is very annoying - wasting paper.

I would love to install the "full driver package", but there doesn't seem to be one for my printer (LaserJet P2015).  I use Win7 x64, and the only driver on your site is the universal print driver, which is so confusing to use.

Do you have a link for the full drivers for my printer/OS?

Thanks!

I disabled bi-directional, but hasn't stopped the problem.

I am using UPD 5.5.0.12834.

USB is the only way I can connect to this printer.

Am I understanding you right that we have to use PnPUtil to install the driver if we are using USB?  So we are on our own?

The syntax looks like I need an .inf file in order to install a driver this way, but again I can't find the driver for my printer/OS.....

HP Recommended

1. Open printer’s folder

2. Right click on the P2055 printer, and select Properties

3. Click on the Device Settings tab, and then change the Printer Status Notification to Disabled
