No AirPrint Printer found on iPad2 and iPhone4

I can print wirelessly via a D-Link DIR-636L router from my desktop PC fine. However, when I try to print from my iPhone4 or my iPad2, the error message says: "No AirPrint Printer found" and it won't print. I've tried pretty much everything and have looked at all of the troubleshooting tips...still can't get it to work. When I called tech support at D-Link they weren't much of a help. They say it's not on their end because it's getting out to the wireless connection on the iPhone and iPad fine (which it is) and Apple says it's not their problem. Of course HP's tech support says it's not their problem either. I have a HP LaserJet P1102w printer that is brand new.

Please help!!

All firmward, drivers and updates have been updated as well.

Re: No AirPrint Printer found on iPad2 and iPhone4

Hi,

Firstly please check to see if your printer in the list:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356

If YES, you can use this to fix

iPad: http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/airprint/
iPhone: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/airprint/

If NO you have to print using other apps (if applicable) such as:

   http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/hp-eprint-home-biz/id299531647?mt=8

More info from this:

Re: No AirPrint Printer found on iPad2 and iPhone4

have you tried your dns settings

"Launch your printer’s internal/network settings. You may do this by typing “http://your-printers-ip-address/” to launch your web-based management interface. You can find out your printer’s IP address by printing a Network Configuration Page (refer to your printer’s manual). Find your printer DNS settings and enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS."

Re: No AirPrint Printer found on iPad2 and iPhone4

Hi,

Based on the following link, your printer supports AirPrint, you should be able to print from iPad and iPhone

   http://www8.hp.com/au/en/products/printers/product-detail.html?oid=4110401

Have you followed these (from Apple):

iPad: http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/airprint/
iPhone: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/airprint/

Regards.
