We have a Unix based program that relies on EZ spooler for printer selection. Printing has been ok up until we replaced the old printer with an HP 3005dn. We need to pull the letterhead from Tray 3. EZ spooler requires PCL codes to print. I have run the range of code numbers to print from the 3rd tray.
My problem is when it receives the print job, you have to hit the GO button twice for it to pull from the 3rd tray.
In modifying the PCL code, I can get it to come out tray 2 automatically, or halts for tray 3.
I've modifed the System setup for manual feed, and or use requested tray, both don't help.
Heres the command code line
PCLx_lowreceipt_ac_begin_^[&l0o66f4H^[&s1C^[(s4099
the 4H is supposed to designate tray selection. I've spent several hours starting at 1H up to 8H with out success to have the job pull automatically from Tray 3.
any ideas?

Solution
You have to access this from the UI and not the control panel
- IP into the laserprinter
-Select Settings Tab
-Configure Device (left side)
-Expand "Configure Device" in the center of the page
-Expand "Printing"
-Expand "PCL"
- at the very bottom "Media Source Mapping"...set it to Classic from Standard.
Worked!
