HP M281cd
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My HP M281cdw is rarely used and is jamming when the paper is just about 3/4 out into the output tray.  I have to open the back to have the error go away. There are no obstructions in the path and there is no obstruction in the back door area. I only print on letter sized paper and I have made sure the settings reflect this. I also don't have issues with the quality. Any suggestions?

Does this happen on multipage jobs only or all print jobs? A mispick can cause the printer to stop leaving a page stuck as per your situation. May be a bad or sticker sensor such as a fuser exit sensor but these are a little challenging to track down. Do you have the same jamming issue if you print from the MP tray?

It happens on all print jobs. We also tried  making a copy from the adf & printing a demo page and usage page with the same issue. I noticed when the page is coming out and I gently tug on the paper it will make its way out completely with no jam error.
