HP Recommended
psc 2410 photosmart

This question was posed in 2014, and was never properly answered:

"Upon turning on, it now seems to get stuck - the power button flashes constantly and the only display I get is the hourglass 'busy' icon... no other error messages or beeps. I can hear the printer going through the motions of start up, the paper feeds moving and then it seems to jam up somewhere and makes a repetitive thumping noise. This noise stops after about 1 minute and the display and flashing light remain."

Some clown thought that recommending a new printer was a good solution.  It always is, if you have the money.  But why recommend tossing a perfectly good printer, just because YOU don't have the answer?

Anyway, I just went through that myself, and found the answer here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00054450

In summary: pull the plug, hold down the # and 3 while you plug it back in.  This initiates reset.   Worked this time.
