Hi,

I was printing envelopes and feeding them through Tray 1 for printing, when suddenly Tray 1 stopped "grabbing" the envelopes and an error message appeared that says "No paper pickup press [OK]".  When I press OK, nothing happens.

I've turned the printer off and on, and unplugged it, rebooted my system, etc - to no avail.  As soon as the printer turns on, the error lights start blinking and this same message displays.

Of course the HP user manual and support info posted online do not address this particular error message.  I cannot print anything.  Help!

Do your envelopes support the described media size as mentioned in this doc below? What application are you using to print them?

Anytime you are using the Priority Feed Slot you need to make sure that the media is pushed in far enough to trip the paper sensor.  The media must go in a couple inches to trip the sensor.  Also if the printer is in "Sleep Mode" it needs to be woken up before the paper sensor can work.  It can be woken up by opening any door or the cassette tray.  At that point you should be fine.

Thanks.... lbindell

I have the same problem, but not with special envelopes. My Laserjet CP1518ni quit taking any paper regardless of which tray used. I get "No paper Pickup - Press OK"  OK does nothing. I tried several attempts including reloading paper, checking for jams, rebooting printer and PC.  Always the same problem.
