HP Photosmart Premium C310
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have deleted and reinstalled the HP printer drivers; installed HP dioagnostic tool, but to no avail.

I have a Windows 10 Surface 2 Laptop.  In the last couple of months, documents print twice, often days apart from log-in and after shut down and restart.  Despite deleting any unwanted documents from the printer queue, if they can be deleted, they will print / reprint when the printer and computer is restarted.

My Partner use a work enterprise Windows 7 laptop, and this does not happen on that computer.

in the last week, the "system"  appears in the print queue, as pictured. On one line, neither the computer or printer were being used at the time.   I cannot delete these entries.

If you have not done so...

Print Queue Reset

Try / Consider:

Restart print services and clear the print folder

  • Control Panel > icon view > Administrative Tools > Services > Stop Print Spooler Service
  • Remove files from C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
  • Start Print Spooler Service

I followed your instructions, but the it did not resolve the problem.  Following the most recent Windows 10 upgrade, the system printing entries on the print queue have disappeared.  One attempt to print resulted in the same problem reoccuring.  However later efforts to print were completed normally.
