I am want to buy a printer which is compatible with ubuntu (Linux) 16.04 operating system and have been told that HP printers have more free software compatible printers than anyone else but I am still confused about which one would be the best.  I don't want to spend a lot of money so somewhere between 50GBP TO 90GBP would be ideal.  Has anyone got any advice please?

Hey Patricia,

There are thousands of HP printers that are compatible with Linux (2594 according to the HPLIP site) with HPLIP. You can check the following website for each printer that is compatible: http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/supported_devices/

There is also a unspported page here: http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/supported_devices/unsupported.html

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

I am an HP employee.
