This is the second hp printer I am throwing away in 2 months time.  Neither printer was able to be reliable enough to successfully make it to their first refill cartridges before running into issues.  Can you imagine that?  The first printer was a little different model number and ran into a issue where the print cartridge carriage locked and would not release and this one with the print cartridge problem.  Hp informed me the second printer's problem was caused by me not using it enough and that is why it failed and that this printer is very reliable and never has issues, REALLY?  Would that be why they could not offer a repair solution when they heard what the error was???  Didn't even try, immediately determined it was no good.  They wanted me to buy another one from them right then and there.  I don't think so, I am phasing them out for life because they cannot engineer quality reliable products.  It was like those DV series laptops that ran hot and the main chips became unsoldered from the mother boards.  At least they are consistant about building crap with everything they build.  Can you imagine buying a new car you almost never drive and shortly after the warranty expires due to age the motor and transmission go out and are ruined with only 1,500 miles on the vehicle due to engineering flaws.  Pretty much same thing here with me but only with PRINTERS (KEY HERE MORE THAN ONCE THIS HAS HAPPENED) Hp lacks the ability to say "You have our aplolgies, you make a good point, you were not done right by us on that and you certainly didn't get your money's worth.  Let us make this right by you and replace it"  They look only at maximum profit and standing behind their products isn't consistant with that.  They are so glad and eager to wash their hands clean of you instead.  In the future I don't care what it is, if it has the hp name on it I am not buying it.
