Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Can't print. Get error message saying Print spooler does not work. Tried typing services.msc in the run time box but nothing happens. I see a list of things but no Print Spooler or Spooler. How can I turn Print spooler on?

Thanks for using the HP Forums. Can you try the following:

Please Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor (PSDR) tool to diagnose and fix your problem

Else, please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:

1. Uninstall the software in your computer
2. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online)

 

The following resource will help you :

http://123.hp.com/us/en/

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.


3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

I have tried all the steps you recommended without success. When downloading all the new HP software, I get an error message that the download has failed and it prompts me to try something else which also fails. Will probably have to call HP and pay a fee.

1. Open Services from windows Run (Windows+R)

2. Find services.msc and then klik ok or enter

3. Find Pinter Spooler and then double klik or enter

4. In the Startup Type, choose Automatic (not delay).

5. In the Service Status, klik Start.

6. Klik Apply and Ok

HP Recommended

I have been given this advice before and it just does NOT work. After typing services.msc, I get a big listing not one of which is Print Spooler. It Print Spooler is not there, I can not go on with the instructions. How do I find the Spring Spooler if this method doesn't work?
