Envy 4524
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Can anybody tell the power consumption of this printer when in sleep or standby mode? Are there any untoward effects from leaving it on standby all the time?

The Envy 4524 uses less than 2 W in sleep mode according to the specifications here.  I would certainly leave it on, the power is minimal and it is less wear and tear on the printer.

Power consumption: 1.89 watts (sleep); 0.31 watts (manual-off); 27.7 watts printing (Fast Draft mode); 20.87 watts copying (Fast Draft mode)
