My printer is stuck in "initializing" and I would be thankful for the instruction how to resolve the issue.

@steinbock,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.

I understand that you are unable to print from your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw as it is stuck on the initializing screen.

This issue could occur if the printer is in error state.

Don't worry as I have a few steps that should help fix this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link:

1.Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
2.Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
3.With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
4.Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
5.Wait at least 60 seconds.
6.Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
7.Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
8.Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on. The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
9.Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Let me know how that works.

I hope you have a good day ahead.

I have the M477fdw, and it will not print documents.  keeps saying , unable to print, file is corrupt. I have the same printer at my house and I am able to print fine. I have unplugged and done every other "help" thing on here I could find. I end up having to save the docs to my computer and using the airprint feature from my phone, in which they finally print. I have uninstalled the printer, updated the driver, checked to make sure everything is on the correct ip. This is rediculous. I need help.

Thanks

armorris, I'm not sure why you posted this to a thread about printers being stuck on initializing... but someone else was having a problem very similar to yours, and posted her solution here:
