You do not have the latest firmware update.  Go to the link below and download the latest firmware and load it onto a usb thumb drive.  Remove all cables except power from the plotter, plug in the usb drive into the usb port on the plotter and turn on the plotter and follow the instructions.  Once the upgrade is done see if it works when connected to the network cable.  If still no joy, get yourself a crossovere cable and connect one end to the plotter and the other end to one of your computers and see if you get the same error.  If you do not, then there is something broadcasting on your network which is causing the error.

Did you turn the plotter off and back on?  Did it come to ready or do you get the error again.  If you get the error again the first thing you will want to do is upgrade the firmware.  Just download the firmware file to a usb thumb driver and insert in usb port on plotter.

I have a gut feeling you may have a job in one of your computers that is confusing the plotter and thus giving you the error. Since it works fine via usb that is my feeling.  See if you can reset the network port on the plotter so it finds a new ip address and then use that ip address to connect the plotter to a computer.  See if it will then print from that computer over the network.  If it does that would confirm a bad job somewhere on your network.

Hi,

Most of the time these printer get installed with an autodiscovery port.

Even if the ip address change, the driver will find the printer by name and continue sending data.
