I am using an HP Laserjet 1022 and have had no issues with any of my machines running Windows 7 32 bit.  I recently purchased a new laptop and it has Windows 7 54 bit.  I was able to install the printer and it prints the test page fine.  However, when I try to print from Microsoft Word or Adobe it keeps printing the same page endlessly and I have to shut down the printer and cancel everything out.  The driver I installed is the most recent one available on the HP site (lj1020_1022-HB-pnp-win64-en).  Any help is appreciated.  I have the printer hardwired using the USB cable.

Uncheck the box "Enable bidriectional print" on the port tab of 1022 printer properties.

That did it for my LJ1022nw, Win7 x64. Thanks!

Never thought of that; re-installed the printer with different drivers several times.

Thanks a bunch!
