Someone Help - Touch Screen Problem

Hi. I bought a HP Touchsmart 300z series desktop yesterday and I have had some problems with the touch screen since I turned on the PC yesterday.

The first thing that happens is when I install a new program the touch feature goes away. Turn off the PC for a bit and fire it back up and it works fine but leads to the next problem.

The next problem is when I start up the PC and the touch screen is working, if the PC is on for about an hour the touchscreen goes off and I am unable to use it. If I turn the computer off for a little bit and turn it back on, the touch screen will work.

Is anyone else having this issue? And wht can I do?

Re: Someone Help - Touch Screen Problem

Doesn't seem like it's supposed to do that. Try this...

Go to Start, Control Panel, Device Manager, HID / Input devices and find NextWindow....

Right mouse click on it, Properties, Power Management tab and uncheck the box, allow the system to turn off this device to save power and allow the device to wake the system from standby
