This laptop has no CMOS battery and I’m not sure how, or if resetting it will help.

An F2 system diagnostic on the HD says it’s not installed.

It was suggested elsewhere to download the BIOS driver from support to a usb drive, but I don’t know how to access the usb on this laptop with the given problem, or if that will help.

My guess is the HD is dead, but didn’t want to buy a new one and find out it was fine.
