HP Officejet Pro 8710
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

I just purchased this 10 days ago.  I work at home and my company IT department has spent 3-4 trying to get the unit to be able to scan anywhere besides a USB.  We finally gave up on anything wireless and plugged everything in...USB printer cable to laptop, laptop into modem, printer into modem, and everything has been installed and reinstalled multiple times.  It will make a copy.  And it will scan a document to  a USB but everyime I try to scan, I scan to computer, click on my computer that the printer screen shows, and it says unable to scan to computer, and to make sure they are communicating.  HP has a clear problem from seeing the multitude of problems with scanning...the update in December or January screwed something up and evidently there is no fix yet.  May have to send the unit back.
