I've tried uninstalling HP Smart Web Printing from the add/remove panel, but the addon keeps saying that it will be uninstalled after Firefox has restarted even after I restart.

Using Firefox 3.6 Beta 2.

How can I manually remove this?

I had the same problem. The uninstall button in the Firefox tools does not work for this add-on. But you can use the Windows control panel and permanently uninstall the program from your computer and then the add-on will be gone.

I have found that uninstalling HP Smart Web Printing from add/remove programs (I prefer using Revo Uninstaller myself), and then deleting the following files from the C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Profile folder fixes this:

extensions.cache

extensions.ini

extensions.rdf

I have this problem too.

What did I do? As below step:

1.Turn off Firefox

2.Delete this forder "C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\smart web printing\MozillaAddOn3"

3.Open Firefox ... check the add-on "HP Smart Web Printing 4.6" ...Its gone

It works for me, you can try it!

Worked like a charm for me.   I'm using Waterfox which is the 64 bit version of Firefox.
